Unique Donation by Chhokar & Co Solicitors
To Sri Guru Singh Sabha Slough

Sardar Santokh Singh Chhokar, Senior Partner of renowned and highly respected solicitors Chhokar & Co Solicitors LLP, was invited by the Management Committee and Trustees of Sri Guru Singh Sabha Slough to recognise the unique donation made by Sardar Santokh Singh Chhokar on behalf of Chhokar & Co Solicitors LLP to Sri Guru Singh Sabha Slough and to address the Sadh Sangat.

Sardar Joginder Singh Bal, President of Sri Guru Singh Sabha Slough, presented Siropas to Sardar Santokh Singh Chhokar and senior solicitor Sri Sajith Pillai and explained to the Sangat :

‘For some 4 years now, Sardar Santokh Singh Chhokar’s team of solicitors have assisted the Committee and Trustees in a very professional and efficient manner. As many of you will know, Sardar Santokh Singh Chhokar has committed that after completing the work, Sardar Santokh Singh Chhokar would make a donation to Sri Guru Singh Sabha Slough equal to 50 per cent of his fees. I am pleased to tell you that, Sardar Santokh Singh Chhokar has today handed me a cheque for the sum of £1575.00, which combined with the Gift Aid means that the Sabha will benefit to the tune of £2000. On behalf of the Management Committee, the Trustees and the Sadh Sangat, I would like to thank Sardar Santokh Singh Chhokar for this generous donation and wish him, his family and excellent staff continued success for the future. As a result of the generous donations from Sardar Santokh Singh Chhokar Sri Guru Singh Sabha Slough has benefited almost £12 500’.

‘We are grateful for the Grace of the Almighty for providing us with the opportunity to make this contribution to the Sabha. I would like to thank the Management and Trustees of the Sabha who have worked very well with us. We shall continue to assist and support the Sabha in whichever way we are requested to do. The Slough Sikh community is a good example in the United Kingdom as it promotes the Message of ‘Sarbat da Bhalla’ ‘Goodwill to All’. In keeping with another Message of Sikhism we should all try to Remember God, Earn our Livelihood and Share with Others. Our firm is happy to play its part in putting into action this Message’.
